Communities In Schools Connects Students with An “Amazing Person”

Communities In Schools (CIS), one of our third floor tenants, has a mission “to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Working directly inside schools, CIS connects students to caring adults and community resources to help them succeed inside and outside the classroom to reach their greatest potential.” CIS currently has 82 site coordinators placed in 56 Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools who identify needs and barriers in the students’ lives and provide the tools and support to overcome and navigate them.
